Things I Overhear on Campus

Two girls talking over lunch: The Provo Temple looks like a spaceship. It's not cute at all!

I personally think that the Provo Temple looks like a cupcake with an candle on top

A girl telling her friend about her mission call to Toronto: Toronto is near New York right?

My professor talking about how gasoline is highly taxed in California: I wish that I were a young single man in California. Then when I would take a young fox on a date I could tell her that because gas is so expensive that we can't drive so then we'll just have to sit in the car and fog up the  windows.

Girl at the nail salon: Your boyfriend served his mission in the Philippines? So he speaks Spanish then?

It's all golden and I love it

Now we can talk about incredibly silly things I've done the past few weeks:

-Walked into the wrong classroom, sat down, and pulled out my books. The professor told me that they were having a class in that room and that I had to leave. I don't think I've ever turned to red.
-Discovering in yoga that I had terrible balance. Enough said.
-Forgetting my new phone number every time someone asks for it.

Awkward Photos: Round Two

I've taken nearly 2,000 pictures in the last 3 and a half months so it is to be expected that some turned out funny.

Pre-enacting Armageddon
I thought it would be really cool if we took a Ray Ban photo, but it was really windy and I was wearing a shirt that is too big so I look fat and not cool.
Me being a Political Science nerd at the Knesset.
Enough Said
Everyone else at the restaurant had ordered fish and took pictures kissing their fish. So naturally I had to take a picture kissing my pizza.

Awkwardness in Jerusalem

Here are some awkward photos from Jerusalem:

Taken at the Tomb of the Prophets. We didn't have flashlights with us so we had to use candles so we could see.

We got to walk though Hezekiah's Tunnel on Monday for out Field Trip. This was a happy/sad field trip because it was our last field trip with Bother Harper. At some points in the tunnel the water was up to our knees. We got soaked, but we had a good time. At one pointed we decided it would be cool to try to walk in the dark so we turned off our flashlights and attempted  to walk. It was dark and I ran into the wall.

We were attempting to look like a fountain. I think it looks like we're pukeing.

We met the coolest lady at this church she was a Christian from Iraq. She worked as a Math teacher and then one day decided to come to Jerusalem to serve God. She told us all about the church and showed us the Upper Room and also sang for us. It was a lovely afternoon.

We went snorkeling in the Red Sea. Check out my awesome grandma swimsuit

I set up with lovely table display with Jamie, then we took an awkward photo with it.

At the Israel museum we saw lots of really cool things and had lots of fun doing it. I also discovered that my pink and white shirt photographs very poorly.

Nathan and I shared a maple apple waffle at The Waffle  Bar. We decided to take a picture with our waffle before we consumed it.

Weekend

On Friday night I went  to Idaho Falls with my lovely roommates were we consumed burgers at Five Guys, window shopped at the mall, and then went to go see The Vow. I'm still now sure how I felt about The Vow, I felt the the entire movie built up to a moment that never happened, but I also thought that the ending of the movie was super cute.

On Saturday I went out for Thai food with my best friend. When we were eating this guy walked up us and asked us what we has ordered, because he thought it looked good. Talk about awkward!

I also tried to dedicate a large chunk of time to homework on Saturday, but it didn't go too well. For my first two years of college I have done a pretty good job of keeping up on my homework, and have been able to spend hours everyday in library getting all of my work done. I was also attached to my day planer and wrote all of my assignments in it religiously. Now it feels like my focus has thrown window. After about 20 minutes in the library I start to think about when I can go home, and have become a master procrastinator. It's driving me crazy! I feel like I have switched from one extreme to another! Does anyone have any ideas to help me focus?

The Crazy Girl On Campus

On Friday I was walking from the Austin building to the library, since it was a Friday afternoon the campus was deserted, so I had my ipod in and was walking at a leisurely stroll when I felt my skirt start to slide down. I looked down and there was a girl PULLING DOWN MY SKIRT! She then informed me that my skirt was riding up in the back, and that she would want someone to do the same for her. She then continued to tug on my skirt. There were multiple things I could have done in this situation including:

-Going into complete ninja mode and pushing the girl away
-Screaming, "Stay away from me you freak!" and then running away
-Seek revenge and start to pull her pants down
-Informing her that her action was totally inappropriate

Sadly I didn't do any of these, and instead THANKED the creepy skirt pulling down girl for her help and walked away.

So to all you sisters at BYU-I y'all best be watching your skirts
